Laminate Flooring

The affordable hardwood look — durable, easy to maintain, and available at our Brownwood showroom.

Laminate flooring gives you the warmth and appearance of real hardwood at a fraction of the cost. It is scratch-resistant, easy to clean, and holds up well under normal household use. Heart of Texas Flooring carries laminate in a range of wood tones, plank widths, and finishes to match your home's interior.

Why Choose Laminate Flooring?

Hardwood Look at Lower Cost

Laminate replicates the appearance of real wood or stone at a significantly lower price point — without sacrificing style.

Scratch & Wear Resistant

The hard top wear layer resists scratches, dents, and fading, making laminate a practical choice for active households.

Easy to Clean

Sweep or vacuum and damp-mop. Laminate does not require waxing, oiling, or refinishing.

Fast Installation

Most laminate installs quickly as a floating floor, which can reduce installation time and labor cost.

Consistent Appearance

Unlike real wood, laminate planks are uniform in color and grain, so you get a consistent look throughout the room.

Wide Selection

Choose from light oak, dark walnut, rustic pine, and many other finishes at our Brownwood showroom.

Best Rooms & Uses

Frequently Asked Questions

Is laminate waterproof?

Traditional laminate is water-resistant but not fully waterproof. Spills should be wiped up promptly. For wet areas like bathrooms, we recommend LVP or tile instead.

Can laminate be refinished like hardwood?

No. Laminate cannot be sanded or refinished. However, its wear layer is durable enough that most laminate floors look great for 15–20 years under normal use.

What goes under laminate flooring?

Most laminate products require a foam or cork underlayment for cushioning and moisture protection. Many laminate planks now come with underlayment pre-attached.

How does laminate compare to LVP?

LVP is fully waterproof and slightly more durable in wet environments. Laminate offers a firmer, harder surface feel and is sometimes preferred in dry areas. We can help you compare at the showroom.
